Wool scarves and wool shawls are a must have for fall winter and spring.  Scarves & shawls are a must have men and women’s accessory. The wool scarves can be the nicest Merino wool scarves or just having a winter wool scarf is a bonus.

Wool shawls from India are very popular. I love cashmere wool from India & Nepal. Cashmere scarves & shawls from Inner Mongolia are super soft and luxurious. The Cashmere scarves from England are a hot favorite for gifts and make a statement.

My favorite wool scarves are the solid wool scarves in Black, red, dark brown. Navy blue, burgundy, purple & ivory white. Women’s wool scarves do also come in paisley designs from India. The Cashmere Pashmina Scarves are a hot pick. Warmth and luxurious softness is the key. Nepal Pashmina Wool Scarves have the advantage of light weight and good warmth. There’s so much to choose from. As a consumer we need to determine what we are looking for.

Some tips to buying a wool scarf / shawl/wrap:

How warm does the scarf need to be depending on where you are located and what season is it for? If you located in VA, NC, SC, TX, FL then a 2 ply  warm scarf or cashmere shawl wrap is great. If you want the added ply of a 3-4 ply wool shawl or cashmere wool shawl it is a good decision. Cashmere Pashmina is the thinnest yarn so even a 3 ply is not a heavy weight scarf wrap. As the ply goes up so does the price.  Look for stores with sales and good service. As one without the other is useless.

When buying Wool Shawls do pay attention to the size. If you are a tall person or plus size go with wider coverage and length for added comfort and style. Women’s shawls & wraps typically are 30″ x 80″. The Ruana wrap is the best. It has long coverage in front, back sides and the benefit of a neckline to hold things in place. Unlike a poncho it is open so it is worn as a shawl wrap. Wonderful easy to wear accessory hence the growing popularity of the Ruana wrap especially in fall winter and spring.

 
Last but not the least always shop for Discounted shawls & scarves and stay within your budget. If you find a store with a good sale and get a great deal on a 3 ply wrap then that is a better buy than a 2 ply. When shopping online use keywords like Discount Cashmere scarf, cheap Pashmina shawls, cashmere shawl sale, cheap wool scarves. Some sites online never pick up the phone and never return calls That is a warning to stay away from them. Sites that have good service care about a customer’s needs and answer queries promptly and efficiently.
