I want to know the age of my tibetan furniture?
Dad owns a small shop in our town and we range with all sorts of oriental furnitures and small items, we have chinese, japanes, indonesian, indian, barley, tibet etc..
Anyway we have this new piece which we have only one of and it was shipped over from tibet and we bought it from a man who got it in an auction over there so he does not know any background information.
Are there any distinquishing marks I could look for which may show the date of the object?

try looking on the inside peel some of the inside off or if you dont want to do this you can bu kits that chemically tell you how old the wood is you can buy these in europe not sure if there anywhere else though buy them on the internet hope it helps ”””’
