What happens to the shaded area next to the handicapped space?
Can you get a ticket if you park next to a space with disabilities? I hope so. I know someone who does and it is ticking me off. I have really wanted to complain. I used to carry my grandfather in a wheelchair in a van conversion had a pneumatic lift on the side. We need additional space for the elevator. I do not know how many times someone parked right against us and we to wait until he left before we leave.
In my state you can. I am sure that most if not all, other states have similar laws. Not just a parking spot at a disadvantage, but whatever you do to block this site is illegal too. This is the law of Wisconsin: 346,505 (2) (b) No person may park, stop or leave standing any vehicle, whether attended or unattended and whether temporarily or not, in any portion of a street, road or parking lot with the to obstruct, block or limit the use of any part of an installation of street, road or parking lot reserved for official traffic signs indicating restricting vehicles with special registration plates or poster.
