How can I clean cat vomit out of my silk persian rug?

I found it fresh last night. I gently dabbed it with a white napkin and water. A dark spot is still there. The rug is primarily red. I noticed the silk fibers on the napkin. I stopped and didn’t do anything more until I could find out what to do. Thanks!!

The question is, Why do you have a cat and a silk persian rug. It’s the matter of time before the thing ruins it !
