Orange Terracota
What colors would you pick for……?
Ok I am planning to change the colors of my Salon / Spa this year and need some suggestions if you would help please! I own an Aveda Consept Spa and their products are all natural so my colors now are earthy green and terracota orange.I need a change guys got any ideas? Thanks in advance!
Oh by the way I chose this catagory because I wanna know what people who are into style and fashion think!

Go lighter and brighter but in a nice pale to medium range when choosing your palette. I have owned a few salons over the past 35 years and always changed colors… Ex: in my first salon I had custom oak cabs, walls, reception desk done.. All in a medium light tiger oak… Absoulutely exquistie for 1974… time changes… Those were the earthtone days.
After this, I went with the black and white squares of tiles but they were put in an unusual layout that set them apart from the rest of the floors and they had a texture and gloss so cleanup was easy.. If you have a lot of natural light contiuously coming into from outside then pick colors that won’t look washed out.
Making the room look bigger and drawing the eye to height is always a plus.. People want to relax when going to the Salon.
After all we are their free therapist, correct? This is a time where relaxation in a salon is the only outlet some people have to enjoy time to themselves. Since you have an Aveda Salon try going with colors that are in the nature area like a muted very light coral.. Not bright, just a subtle bit of color.. Use some clean white too but a custom color that makes the skin on everyone look nice.. Some whites will make you look sick or washed out. Try either a light blue, purple, or seabreeze green.. NOT bright.. Very little color added but enough to tell…. You can always add brighter towels, uniforms, blinds, curtains, flowers, and carpet in areas to make everything POP.
Remember that you want to make the customer relax, notice and buy your products, look great in the mirror due to the correct color choices you have made, and feel energized when they leave…
I would go get lots of samples from Home Depo and put them on the walls all over… Look at them in the rooms with more light and also in the darker areas. Make sure they look good against your skin too..
