bleaching out by some toilet article?

I asked a question under “makeup” but from the answers it wasn’t clear. 2 or 3 years ago after a female house guest was here a few of the dark olive towels she used had gold spots all over. just had a different female using the same color and the same thing happened and also made spots on a multi colored rug in the bathroom. What ingredient could cause this. I use them all the time and have no problem.

every person has different amounts of oils in thier skin and also can have different types of oils. this mixed with some makeup, lotions…
can cause a colored oil that stains.
also she could have had her period and it faded to a gold color after being washed.
