Mocha Beige
It doesn’t make sense…I’m not the color of a blank sheet of paper or a white crayon?
This is what I don’t understand… being called a WHITE person when I’m really a peach/beige color.
Also, when A.A.’s are called BLACK people when they are usually a brown/mocha shade.
Not that it matters, I’m just saying it doesn’t make much sense (look at a color wheel).
Anyone ever wondered this before? :/
to put it simply, back in pyramid times, “whites” had the lightest shade of skin. They were called “fair skinned”. That adjectives was lost in translation.
The bottom line in literature is that there were other races that already claimed beige (such as asians) and brown (such as indians) that Caucasians were basically the “whitest” people on the planet as were those of african descent the “blackest”.
But the the term wasn’t solidified until the late the 17th century when when the slaves would refer to Caucasians as “whites”. In contract to the Europeans, the Africans looked very black.
