I have royal blue living room walls w/white trim. Would a brown leather couch and red shag rug clash?

My walls are a royal blue with white trim. We have a light colored hardwood floor and were thinking about getting a dark brown leather sofa with nailhead trim. I am also eyeing a red shag rug to throw into the mix. It’s not a bright bright red but not burgundy either. I was thinking about bringing these three colors together but don’t know if it will clash. If it doesn’t, where would I begin with curtains?? Solids, stripes, dots?? I want long curtains and my husband wants more of a cabin theme but I’m not sure that will work with this color scheme. Any help is appreciated.

The brown sofa would be fine, the red rug wouldn’t go. I think the blue and the red together would clash.
