Medallion Navy
Hi, I have applied for the Navy to become a Clearance Diver I would like some help. (Information etc)?
Hi everyone,
I have finished Year 10 and I have applied for the Navy to become a Clearance Diver as I previously Stated.
I have my YOU Session on the 23rd of November, I would like to know if anyone can help me out with the process as in; How the ace it (Interview Questions, Medical, Psych Test).
I know it is going to be very hard considering I have only finished Year 10 and more than likely there are going to be guys there with more educational experience and life experience.
I am trying to get the best chances as possible so far I have;
PADI Open water Certificate
Bronze Medallion (I do Surf Life Saving)
I’ve done Fire Service Cadets
and other achievements.
I couldn’t see myself do anything else besides a Clearance Diver (mabye a pilot, but not for now)
If anyone can give me advice on how to enhance my chances to succeed it would be greatly appreciateted

Are you british? You sound british. lol.
Anyway. Besides being in tip top shape, you need to be a well rounded person. It looks like you do a lot of water related stuff – great – but you need to show other achievements.
I would say at least involved in one extracurricular sport, part of a school club, great grades, member of some sort of community outreach organization, lots of volunteer hours (40+) in areas not related to water.
With your interview, look the military part, be thoughtful and articulate with your answers, if you don’t know just say so. Act confident!!
Medical – make sure all your shots are up to date, make sure you have a full exam that gives you a clean bill of health saying that if you had any surgeries/hospitizations what the outcome of that is. ie no foreseeable complications in the future. Bring your glasses and contacts to the military exam.
Psych – make sure you answer the questions consistantly, they are going to ask you the same questions over and over in different wording, the more consistant you are the better.
