An open box with a square base is to be made out of a given iron sheet of area 27m^2.Show that maximum volume of the box is 13.5m^3.

I also believe you have mistyped, but i think you pressed 3 instead of 2, i got the answer to be 12.5m^3

I did this by, 27/5 because you only need 5 sides for an open box with a square base and you want the other sides to all be equal height or it would be stupid and uneven and the material used to fill it would over flow because the volume would be lower.

i then had to take the square root of 5.4 to figure out the height of one of the sides for the volume formula AxH=V

summing up i got
27/5=5.4 area of base
sqrt(5.4)=2.32
V=AxH
=5.4×2.32
=12.5m^3
