Who has hunter green walls?

I got hunter green walls in the family room. We bought this house 2 years ago it was like that. Now I m imagining how nice it would look if I painted it off white or taupe. Has anyone went from hunter green to a better color? How’s it feel?

I used to have hunter green walls in the late 80′s but as much as I loved it in the beginning, I found it looked dated after a couple of years. I have since used mostly neutrals when it comes to painting my walls. The neutral that I keep using and using is Sico ‘Van Gogh Wheat’. This color is a very warm ‘white’ (They add yellow & red when it’s mixed). It felt so ‘uplifting’ to get rid of that dark color. Clean, uncomplicated and fresh is how the new lighter color feels. Happy decorating.
