When it comes to interior design there are many choices someone can choose from. Contemporary design offers a more clean, simple, and uncluttered look. This design style relies more on lighting and furniture placement. These elements are important because the light helps highlight key features of the home such as paintings and proper placement of furniture can either make your home look too over cluttered or give it that beautiful clean even feeling that comes with a contemporary designed home. A traditional interior design is probably the furthest someone could get from a contemporary home design.Although still not offering the same bright colors seen in a country design, traditional design gives you the opportunity to start adding soft colors such as pinks, blues, and greens. Traditional design is all about creating a relaxed more inviting feel. Which is what sets a traditional design so much apart from the uptight style of a contemporary home design. Most of us have experienced this type of design style as a child. However country style is not limited to antiques, soft colors or stiff accurate furniture placement.

A country style homes brings in more bright exciting colors. Although country style may seem similar to that of a traditional home it can be much more lively than that of a traditional home. Adding the right colors in your home and it can create a more upbeat mode throughout your home.Country design is made up of English, French and American designs. From France’s deep purples, yellows reminiscent of sunflowers, and blue hues that seem to bring out the seaside to the English country color palette often includes deep reds, dark greens, and bits of bark-inspired brown. Along with our own American look that often is simple, rustic, and smaller in size than English or French designs.When someone is decorating to maximize the feng shui of their home and get the most positive chi possible they will most often end up with this style of a home.This style home is my favorite because it offers me the opportunity to make the most out of my decorative creativity. Instead of being so limited to a certain design style you can bring in more of your own imagination. When decorating allot of people will over look the most important aspect of decorating which is being in the right state of mind.If you are not in the right state of mind when decorating your feelings will come out and show themselves in your home decor. That is why when I decorate I try to keep myself in a positive mood. Floral decorations seem to put me most at ease and are the key elements when attempting to create the most affective use of feng shui.

That is why when it comes to decorating for my bedroom I try to find the most elaborate floral duvet cover for my bed. I believe the right duvet cover set can help highlight your bed create a more positive feel throughout your home. And since on average people spend 1/3 of their lives in bed I think the bedroom is the most important aspect of a home. Also having one or even two plants in your bedroom can help to really bring in the positive energy. When decorating the most important thing to remember is that there is no right or wrong way of doing things.As long as when you finish you feel great about what you have created and it is what you wanted your house to look like. Many houses look beautiful and every house is nice in it’s own way if done right. I love all these styles that I have talked about today, just remember it is your house and it all depends on how you decide to decorate it. That is what can separate your house from your home.
