Hi, Flokati rugs add warmth and texture to any room not just teen girls rooms. They are great at softening hard surfaces, can be used by a fireplace, by a favorite chair or anywhere you want to add some warmth. When you first get your wool flokati rug you will need to vacuum it more often for the first year in order to remove loose fibers from the weaving process. This shedding is absolutely normal and will not hinder your rug. There are also synthetic flokati rugs that do not shed. Hope this helps.
