Where can i buy a black bear hamster?

I’m currently living in between reading and Wokingham and wondered where i could get a black bear hamster from in this area?

A “black bear” hamster is just a syrian. These are available in most pet shops, it’s just a specific colour. It’s all about luck. I see some occasionally on http://www.petwebsite.com/hamsters_for_sale.asphttp://www.petwebsite.com/hamsters_for_sale.asp

You just need to keep looking for them, or be less fussy about the colouring. Mine is a sable, she looks very much like this http://content.answers.com/main/content/wp/en/thumb/8/8d/180px-Cashew_sable_syrian_hamster.jpg

The most important thing is to make sure you like its temperament. Ask to handle it in the shop and see if it’s relatively calm (I say relatively, as it’s a stressful time for them.) You want to look for clean, bright eyes and a good coat. Look for any signs of fighting (chunks out of the ears, etc) and be aware that they must live alone past sexual maturity.
