Do they currently graft animal skin onto human wounds?

One of my friends claims that this is a regular occurrence? I don’t believe it but am curious. I don’t want to end up like some freakish version of the six million dollar man ahaha.

i have never heard of this i think usually they take skin from somewhere like ur back and then put it over the injury

but if it was a massive wound idk what they would do but the body would reject the animal skin

that’s y when u have a new heart or something you have to be dosed up to they eyeballs on meds or it will die

so i don’t think it would work using a different skin for skin grafts cus it wouldnt be worth shreding ur emune system with pills for apperances
